Nikita Desai

Nikita Desai’s journey as an education leader began in Mumbai, where her passion for teaching and technology integration quickly set her apart. With over nine years of experience across prominent schools in India and the UAE, she has become a dynamic force in EdTech and innovation.

Starting her career as a Mathematics and ICT Specialist, Nikita developed foundational curriculum for primary and middle school students, blending core academics with digital skills. Her next move brought her to GEMS Founders School Mizhar, Dubai, (GFM) where she pioneered the use of digital tools as a form tutor, enriching the classroom experience and inspiring her students to explore tech-driven learning. Her innovative approach continued in her next role, where she served as Digital Literacy Lead, spearheading programs in digital citizenship, computational thinking, and classroom innovation.

Now, as Head of Innovation, Nikita is focused on equipping students with future-ready skills through creative and collaborative technology education. She envisions vibrant STEAM labs, design spaces, and hands-on projects that will prepare students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Beyond the classroom, Nikita’s curiosity leads her to explore new gadgets, engage in coaching teachers, and take part in educational field trips, all aimed at enhancing digital learning for both teachers and students alike.
